I’ve really enjoyed being in Pat Sloan’s Facebook Quilting group. There are nearly 43,000 quilting members sharing ideas, pictures, and life. I’ve made a few friends and met a few too. What a neat group of ladies and gents.
What is BOM?
BOM = Block of the Month
Is where the designer produces a different quilt block for a particular month and it can last 6, 9, or 1 year.
Here are my first 4 blocks for Pat Sloan’s Vacation Time BOM series:
- January: Down by the Boardwalk is the top left.
- February: Toes in the Sand is the top right.
- March: Surf’s Up! is the bottom left.
- April: The Penny Arcade is the bottom right corner. (Yes, there are mistakes in this one, but that is ok with me. :))

I caught up with blocks 2-4 yesterday Sunday, April 26th, 2015. We are due to having our daughter born in 9 days.
