Rotating Rotary Mat

I’ve had my Rotating Rotary Mat for years and just recently started using it!! I got mine at a local Quilt Show and in my mind (I just love gadgets) I thought I would be using this item like crazy!!!!

But sadly NO!!!

Ok, I had it hidden under a bunch of fabrics (because I’ve been organizing my fabric stash) so when I came across it I was thrilled to see it!!! There have been several blocks that I’ve made that I’ve used a smaller rotary mat to turn, but NOT anymore!

What is a rotating rotary mat?

• Its a mat that rotates making it easier for you to cut your blocks. Instead of picking up the mat or fabrics to move them.

I’ve been using this rotating rotary mat when doing the disappearing hourglass blocks…such a helpful little mat. Mine measures 12 inches square and I DO love this thing!!

You DON’T necessary need one of these, but if you find yourself rotating your blocks or going around the cutting table to cut them. Then I would suggest investing in one.
